I heard that it is better to “keep up” with speeding traffic on the freeway rather than maintaining the speed limit. Is this true?

Dear Debbie: Dangerously NOT TRUE. Instead, travel in the right lane, go the speed limit, maintain proper space cushion. You’ll arrive to where you want in almost the same time. Speeding cars can then go around you if there’s a cushion of space in front of you. Excess speed increases stopping distance, renders reaction time less.
